One Last Day

June 2, 2011

It all starts, for real, tomorrow. The gate behind home plate will be brought up, tickets will be torn, the first pitch will be thrown, and POWER baseball will be back on the ball field. The Casa Grande Cotton Kings will be making the trip up from Arizona to face-off against Palm Springs here on Opening Day. In fact, the Cotton Kings have a two-game set here at the Stadium, reprising Friday’s game with a Saturday match-up. Same time. Same place. But, of course, as is the nature of baseball…surely a whole different game.

We’ve been busy running around the stadium here, checking the bounce castle, readying the PA system, and putting everything in its spot to make Opening Day run smoothly for all of you, our devoted fans. The players have, of course, been getting ready as well. I’ve seen them sprinting and jogging and taking grounders and swinging in batting practice and etc. The PalmSpringsPowerBaseball.com ticker to Opening Day is inching down to zero, and come tomorrow, June 3rd,
